Monoscope with Boohoo

At first look the Monochrome Trend seems quite effortless, however I think there is more too it and getting just the right ratio of black to white is key. Obviously me being me black would always take centre stage. These are some examples of a way of nailing the look in a chic way.

These are my top 4 picks from the range at Boohoo and they're take on the trend is absolutely bang on. Check it out through my banner on the right. I absolutely love the spotted trousers, though I already have something so similar not sure I can justify it. Can I?! I also love the mix match printed dress. Bank balance please be good to me this month so I'm able to have this beauty.

What do you think then? Anything catch your eye?

Jeans- Topshop
T-Shirt- American Apparel (not online, similar here)
Mac- Topshop (last season, similar here)
Trainers- Nike

As it's festival season I thought I'd share with you my buy from last year: this uber sci-fi style metallic rain mac. I know it's kind of shiny, but hey I love it and it's a brilliant high street version of the ones seen in the Victoria Beckham SS12 Shoe (see here)...So now you know why I like it so much! I mean If I'm honest I haven't had that much wear from it apart from the actual festivals I went last year and as this summer is desolate in the festival area I kind of felt I needed to dust it off and put it out there for the people of London on an otherwise dull day. For a casual daytime look I teamed it with Black Leigh Jeans and my Nike Free Runs, which I actually bought from the kids section for a bargain of £52.00. Bonus!

What do you think of this then? I would be really grateful if you could follow me on bloglovin'- link is available on the side bar!

Nicola Crawford and Angel Armogida

Images from Lorilee

Last Thursday I was invited to attend a great event held by Blogger Love at The Penthouse in Leicester Square. It was showcasing 2 new designers. Angel Armogida and Nicola Crawford. Armogida is a brand that is glamorous, feminine and pretty at the same time. Floor length dresses in soft silk fabric echo's luxury. Although the collection was beautiful, it isn't really my kind of thing. I just never feel I have the right occasion to wear such a fancy piece. The other designer was Nicola Crawford, a jewellery designer that to be honest was right up my street. Elegant hand made pieces of silver and gold with a cute twist. Necklace's with 'love' and dainty rose rings, there was just something sweet about the whole thing.

There then was a lil competition; blog/tweet about the event to be in with a chance of winning a Nicola Crawford piece and I won!!! Yes, yes, you heard it right, I won. You can imagine my shock as I have never won a thing in my LIFE. Ahhhh it felt oh so sweet. A beautiful necklace with three kisses, check it here. In brushed and shiny silver, It is so pretty and I have worn it nearly every day since the event. The lookbook is also magical with each collection shot in a different way and taken from another form of inspiration. Sound like you would like this lady? Check out Nicola Crawford here.

It was a great night and I met some lovely people; Sophie from sophisticatexx, Elinor from Little Red and Lorilee from Lorilee London. Check out their blogs now! Have you been anywhere great lately?
