Nicola Crawford and Angel Armogida

Images from Lorilee

Last Thursday I was invited to attend a great event held by Blogger Love at The Penthouse in Leicester Square. It was showcasing 2 new designers. Angel Armogida and Nicola Crawford. Armogida is a brand that is glamorous, feminine and pretty at the same time. Floor length dresses in soft silk fabric echo's luxury. Although the collection was beautiful, it isn't really my kind of thing. I just never feel I have the right occasion to wear such a fancy piece. The other designer was Nicola Crawford, a jewellery designer that to be honest was right up my street. Elegant hand made pieces of silver and gold with a cute twist. Necklace's with 'love' and dainty rose rings, there was just something sweet about the whole thing.

There then was a lil competition; blog/tweet about the event to be in with a chance of winning a Nicola Crawford piece and I won!!! Yes, yes, you heard it right, I won. You can imagine my shock as I have never won a thing in my LIFE. Ahhhh it felt oh so sweet. A beautiful necklace with three kisses, check it here. In brushed and shiny silver, It is so pretty and I have worn it nearly every day since the event. The lookbook is also magical with each collection shot in a different way and taken from another form of inspiration. Sound like you would like this lady? Check out Nicola Crawford here.

It was a great night and I met some lovely people; Sophie from sophisticatexx, Elinor from Little Red and Lorilee from Lorilee London. Check out their blogs now! Have you been anywhere great lately?

Diamonds & Pearls

You probably think I've been doing a lot of wish list's and outfit posts recently, but it literally is because there is so much out there right now! But if I'm honest, my bank balance is not letting me buy s much s I'd quite like. Although one thing I've been buying into Costume Jewellery, at a rapid pace in recent months and I've found that for a small price you can grab a statement piece that can total transform a simple outfit.

Recently I've come across a few incredible places for Jewellery that I'd like to share. My first stop for some great pieces is the cute brand Little Birdie London. A relatively new brand, but offering some on trend pieces at great prices and even more the quality is much better than I've found at High street stores which have been around for years. This alone means that Little Birdie is a definite must when searching for the right piece.

The second is Dixi. An absolutely fantastic place for statement Rings and Necklaces. There specialty is precious stones and crystals, set in silver. This is right up my street and if you're looking for jewellery with a vintage feel you'll certainly get this at Dixi. With prices starting at £10, its a sure thing you'll find something within budget.

These kind of places mean that although I might not be buying new clothing, I'm certainly buying Accessories and with product like this on offer I needn't worry as I can refresh my look as often as I like. Perfect!

Is there any other great websites I should be looking at for Jewellery?

I'd love if you would follow me on bloglovin' here

R-A-J-E

How's everybody's Saturday going? I was super pleased this morning when I received an invited to the launch of ethical clothing brand R-A-J-E. Have you heard of them? If you haven't then listen up! R-A-J-E is made up of Roanna Price, Annie Price, Joey Instone & Emily Coles. The 4 piece describe themselves as "an ethical design collective based in London and beyond". I am yet to see what the collective have to offer, but if their blog is anything to go by I'm sure we'll be in for a real treat!

Creative and Intriguing their blog Becoming R-A-J-E is a personal account of their highs and lows as an Ethical brand starting out in the Fashion Industry. Each member of the brand contribute to the blog, with their individual writing styles working brilliantly alone, whilst also complimenting each other. This has developed a  character for the newly formed collective and I cannot wait to see more!

I am super Excited to attend their launch in London in May and I'll be sure to give you the details! Why not check out their blog here.

What do you think of R-A-J-E? I would love if you could follow me on GFC and Bloglovin and be sure to leave your links, so I can check what you guys are up to!

Global Kids Fashion Week!

So like so many of us do, today I was reading Grazia on my lunch hour and I was absolutely besotted as soon as I saw the words. Global Kids Fashion Week. I mean how adorable?! I know that we shouldn't be putting so much pressure on kids and youth today in terms of body image etc, but I really could not help looking at the pictures and thinking oh my god, how CUTE?!

The event was sponsored by established brands such as Paul Smith Junior, Chloe, Tommy Hilfiger, Junior Gaultier, Diesel, Little Marc Jacobs & so many more. Although the week was centered around new fashion from around the world there was also entertainment, activities and fundraising that included both the children and their parents.

Sponsored by AlexandAlexa.com the fashion shows were infused with dancing, laughing and even balloons, whilst still having a high degree of professionalism. Overall it seemed like a great few days that has given brands the opportunity to build up there exposure on Kidswear and its status as a ever expanding industry.

& Other Stories

& Other Stories is the latest brand to come from Swedish retail giants Hennes & Mauritz. With other brands such as COS, H&M, Monki and Cheap Monday already taking the high street by storm I was super excited to see what else they could possibly reveal. Living in London really has so many positives and when I heard the new & Other Stories store would be opening on the one and only regent street I could not be more pleased!! Only a few minutes walk from work and surrounded by its sister stores...BONUS! Stores in Berlin & Copenhagen also launched simultaneously, how cool is that?!

The store is everything you would expect, cool Swedish styling, simplicity and lots of white. This is something that has made me fall in love with everything Scandinavian  So inside its clean and cool and you can buy every possible item you would want as a fashion conscious woman. There's beauty, Skin Care, Shoes, RTW, Jewellery and even some wonderfully chic Lingerie.

The & Other Stories is precisely fashion lead. Bags that look like they have been carefully mastered by a french designer and clothing that looks like a tailor has been working all night. Designs vary from masculine boyfriend coats & tees to feminine dresses. The diversity of the styling in stores means it is perfect for your day to night wardrobe. Prices are a little higher than your average high street retailer, but many items come in a little cheaper than sister store COS, but with the same characteristics, which means it's great if your looking for the style with out the price tag.

LFW: Day 2

Sunday the 17th was the day I had been waiting for after scanning over the LFW schedule a few days ago. Topshop Unique, Mary Katranzou, Richard Nicoll, Nicole Farhi were all on for today and they were all worth the wait. The weather was beautiful and so was the FROW, with the likes of Pixie Geldof, Kate Bosworth, Nicola Roberts all in tow it was hard not to feel the anticipation of the fashion forward collections waiting to parade the catwalks.

Topshop Unique: AW 13

Every season we see a new Topshop Show Space unveiled at Fashion Week. This time is was the chance for the Tate Modern to shine. The concrete background was perfect for the boyish charm we see so often during the Topshop Unique shows.

The show began with model of the moment Cara Delevingne in a edgy oversized long-line bomber jacket married with a beautiful patent leather skirt and cute knitted crop top. Models outfitted in black outwear with hints of blood red followed, whilst heavy knits with softer flippy skirts showed a juxtaposition in texture. This soon turned to soft pretty pink hues, for sating dresses and androgynous tailoring.

Topshop Unique doing what they do best, but with a bit more edge and a little hint of glamour. One of My Favourite Shows so far this season, take a look at my favourite looks below;
